Teen Pregnancy

National studies have shown that more than half of 17 year olds, both male and female, have had sexual intercourse. A sexually active teenager who does not use a contraceptive method has a 90% chance of becoming pregnant within one year. Every year, one in four sexually active teenagers will acquire a sexually transmitted disease. Our teenagers must be educated regarding postponing sexual involvement and decision making. They must also receive clear, factual information regarding birth control and sexually transmitted diseases. Our program provides a confidential, non-judgemental setting for teens to obtain information and services. All services to teens are mandated to be confidential by the Federal Title X Program guidelines. We will never divulge information about one of our clients, regardless of their age, without their written consent.
