North East Nebraska Family Health Services

North East Nebraska Family Health Services is a non-profit organization that was established in Fremont in 1974. Our administrative office is located at 230 East 22nd Street in Fremont. The agency administers three separate programs: A Title X Reproductive Health/Family Planning program that serves 19 counties in northeast Nebraska, with permanent offices in Fremont, and Norfolk; a USDA funded WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) nutrition program serving 5 counties.

These programs offer a wide range of services and activities that are not found elsewhere in our communities. Our agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and the programs are administered by Deborah Bunn, Executive Director. Funding sources include the Federal Title X Reproductive Health Program, USDA, Immunization Action Program, Nebraska Reproductive Health Program funds, funds from the Maternal and Child Health Program, and other local or regional grants. The Reproductive Health/Family Planning program charges fees for services and supplies according to a sliding scale based on income and family size. Our Family Planning Clinics are also providers for the "Every Woman Matters" Program, providing pap smears and breast cancer screening free of charge to women over 40 who qualify for the program. For more information, about the "Every Woman Matters" Program go to www.hhs.state.ne.us.

All three programs actively seek and accept donations, both corporate and individual. We rely on federal, state, and local funding to help support our programs, supplying very important health care services to the low-income residents of our communities. If you are interested in donating funds, supplies or services to our programs, please contact the agency Director at (402) 727-5336.

The programs administered by North East Nebraska Family Health Services guarantee that no person shall be denied services on the basis of religion, age, sex, race, color, creed, national origin, handicap, number of pregnancies, marital status, contraception preference, or the source of payment of his or her care. Services are provided without subjecting clients to any coercion to receive services or to use any particular method of family planning. Services are provided solely on a voluntary basis. All services are confidential, regardless of clients age. All services are provided in a manner that protects the dignity of the client.
